At EZ Boat, we strive to ensure a fair and transparent experience for both service providers and renters. Our cancellation policy is designed to protect both parties while adhering to applicable state laws and fostering trust within our community.
General Cancellation Guidelines
Each listing on EZ Boat includes a specific cancellation policy set by the service provider. By booking a service or vessel, you agree to the terms of the cancellation policy associated with that listing. If unforeseen circumstances arise, cancellations and refunds will be handled according to the service provider’s policy and the details outlined below.
Default Cancellation Policy (if no custom policy is set by the provider)
- Full Refund: Renters may cancel and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made seven (7) days or more prior to the start of the booking.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations made between six (6) and three (3) days prior to the start of the booking will result in a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the booking start date are non-refundable, except in cases of:
- Severe weather conditions impacting safety as determined by local authorities or the Coast Guard.
- Legal restrictions, such as state-mandated closures or prohibitions.
- Verified medical emergencies with appropriate documentation.
Service Provider Cancellations
If a service provider cancels a booking:
- Renters will receive a 100% refund of their payment, including any fees.
- EZ Boat may assist renters in finding an alternative service or vessel, subject to availability.
- Frequent or unjustified cancellations by a provider may result in account review or suspension.
Force Majeure and Weather-Related Cancellations
In cases of extreme weather or uncontrollable events (e.g., hurricanes, flooding, or government-imposed restrictions):
- Bookings may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty to either party.
- Refunds will be issued if rescheduling is not possible.
- Service providers and renters are encouraged to communicate promptly to determine the best course of action.
State Law Compliance
EZ Boat’s cancellation policy is designed to comply with state laws, including those governing refunds, consumer rights, and business practices. If specific state regulations conflict with this policy, the state law will take precedence.
