- Charterer/Renter Responsibility
- Charterers are solely responsible for confirming the insurance coverage of the vessel they are renting.
- EZ Boat strongly encourages renters to purchase supplemental trip insurance to protect against accidents, cancellations, or damages.
- Third-Party Liability
- All users must ensure that their insurance policies include third-party liability coverage for injuries or damages caused to others during the trip.

Key Responsibilities by User Role
Boat Owners
- Ensure the vessel is seaworthy, insured, and compliant with all applicable laws.
- Provide documentation of insurance, safety equipment, and operational guidelines to charterers or captains.
Captains and Service Providers
- Maintain appropriate liability insurance to cover professional activities.
- Verify the vessel’s insurance status and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Charterers/Renters
- Confirm insurance coverage directly with the boat owner prior to booking.
- Purchase additional insurance for trip protection as needed.
Accidents and Claims Process
In the event of an incident:
- Report the situation to the relevant authorities as required by law.
- Notify the involved insurance provider immediately to initiate the claims process.
- Provide all requested documentation, including photos, videos, and written statements, to support the claim.
EZ Boat will not participate in the claims process, mediate disputes, or accept liability under any circumstances.
