By using the EZ Boat platform, users agree to comply with this policy and all applicable child protection laws.
1. General Guidelines
- All children (under 18 years old) participating in boating activities must be under the direct supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or a responsible adult appointed by the parent or guardian.
- The supervising adult must remain on board and be actively involved in monitoring the child at all times.
2. Safety Gear Requirements

- Every child must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket that fits properly and is suitable for the activity.
- Life jackets must be worn at all times while on board or near the water.
- Additional Gear:
- Non-slip footwear is recommended to prevent falls.
- Sun protection, including hats and sunscreen, should be provided to protect children from harmful UV rays.
3. Compliance with Child Protection Laws

- The supervising adult must be physically and mentally capable of responding to emergencies and enforcing safety rules.
- Supervising adults are required to familiarize themselves with the boat’s safety features and emergency protocols before departure.
5. Vessel Safety Standards
- Boat owners and operators must ensure that their vessel is equipped with all required safety equipment, including:
- Properly sized life jackets for all passengers, including children.
- Functioning navigation and communication systems.
- Emergency equipment such as first aid kits and fire extinguishers.
- Boats must be inspected regularly to ensure they are in safe, seaworthy condition.

- Safe behavior while on board, such as avoiding running or leaning overboard.
- Basic water safety skills, including how to use a life jacket properly.
- Emergency procedures, such as what to do if someone falls overboard.
7. Prohibited Activities for Minors
